Weldon's 1st Birthday {Woodland Party}

The theme of Weldon's first birthday was pretty much a no-brainer. I threw around the idea of several different party themes but when it came down to it, a woodland party was just perfect for our little man. (Not to mention we pretty much had all the decorations already on display in Will's man cave!)

Entry table decorations + Weldon's birthday invitation

The fox (Will shot several years ago) came upstairs for the party.

 The food table + a deer. :)

Love that little owl.

Momma + the birthday boy.

Sweet babies!

Month-by-month pictures of Weldon's first year

The birthday boy enjoying a pre-party bottle.

I was expecting to have this party indoors because early March last year was cold and snowy! Not this year. The weather was beyond perfect! Blue sky, sunny and 75 degrees!

 The birthday boy's smash cake.

Cupcakes for the guests. (Iced by Jamie!)

Weldon loved all the animals that came upstairs for a visit!

We are so glad that Len and Mary were here to celebrate with us!

Seen enough animals yet? We also had turkey decoys!

Will hid some deer antlers in the yard for some of the bigger kids to hunt.

The food! Will has become quite the BBQ master. It was so delicious. Jamie and I prepared the sides. (I couldn't have done it all without her!)

Weldon awaiting his birthday cake!

Eliza helped Weldon blow out his candle.

It didn't take this little guy long to dive head first into his cake!

Eliza took a little taste too.

I'm not sure he was going to stop eating the cake till it was gone so I actually had to take it away from him.

And then it was time for a little dinner to wash the sugar down.

Weldon with his special guests Jamie and Jude. (Poor Jude wasn't feeling well...)

Thank you for everyone who celebrated Weldon's birthday with us (both near and far) it was such  fun and special day celebrating our sweet little man!
