Seabrook Island {Part 2}

We had several friends and family come down and visit us during our week at the beach.

Andrew, Ali and Charlie came down for the first part of the week. We loved getting to spend quality time with these sweet friends and their new baby!

Daddies and their boys!

Eliza keeping watch over the babies.

My grandmother, aunt and two cousins drove down from Greenville one afternoon to see the babies (and us).

We loved having them and wished they could've stayed longer!

My grandmother meeting Weldon for the first time!

Another couple, Penn and Kendall, joined us for a few nights too. It was so fun having room for friends and family to come and go all week!

We attempted some family pictures one evening. It was a beautiful evening but quite possibly the most windy night (not ideal for pictures).

Eliza was over picture taking.

Eliza keeping a close eye on Weldon.

I loved watching Eliza play on the beach! Wish we could go back!

Last evening. Listening to music at the beach club and watching our outgoing girl dance the night away!

One last picture before leaving this wonderful place! Until next year!

Thanks mom and dad for a wonderful beach vacation!!

Eliza {Bathtime Silliness}

Eliza just gets more fun (and a bit challenging) everyday. She definitely keeps us laughing and guessing as to what she's going to do next.

After her bath one night last week I got the water ready for Weldon's bath. While I was getting him undressed and ready I heard Eliza's footsteps run down the hall to the bathroom. I knew exactly what was coming but didn't get there in time.

This was the sweet mischievous smile she have me when I found her!

Seabrook Island {Part 1}

We just returned home from a wonderful trip to the beach with my parents!

It was our first vacation as a family of 4 and it went really well! It did start off a little rough with a 1.5 hour delay while we sat on the plane in Kansas City to repair a mechanical glitch. The delay caused us to miss our connecting flight in Atlanta by 5 minutes. :( Thankfully we made it on the  next flight to Charleston and arrived mid-afternoon.

Traveling with two children for a week makes for a lot of luggage!

Seabrook Island is hands-down my favorite place to vacation on the SC coast. It is such a beautiful and quaint island and it's just a short drive to Charleston.

We stayed in a beautiful beach-front home with plenty of room for the children to have their own rooms and invite some of our friends down.

Eliza was such a fun age for the beach this year! She stayed very busy all week!

Papa took Eliza on numerous bike rides and runs in the stroller. They also went to the playground and spent lots of time playing on the beach and at the pool. It was a special time for both of them!

Gigi also stayed busy loving on Weldon and playing on the beach with Eliza.

(Check out Weldon's chubby face!)

Will and I loved having the extra help all week!

Eliza and I (at her daddy's request) buried him in the sand! I'm not sure she really understood what we were doing but seemed to have fun!

Then daddy dug a big hole for Eliza to play in.

Eliza had a fun time filling her bucket with water, sand and seashells. I just loved watching her take it all in! She was a very happy girl!

Eliza was ready to go on the beach bright and early every morning!

We loved taking Weldon down there with us too!

We flew a ladybug kite one afternoon (till I let it fly away...)

More pictures of our trip and beach guests to come!

Weldon {2 Months Old}

It's so hard to believe 2 months have passed since Weldon arrived!

Our bubba-boy is such a delightful baby! I feel very blessed to have had two healthy "easy" babies. It can be hard enough to adjust to life with an easy newborn. :)

Weldon sleeps well, eats great and is interacting with us now!

Weldon's sleep routine usually goes something like this:

6/6:30am: Wakeup and Eat
8/8:15 Nap
9:15/30 Eat
10:45/11 Nap
12:15/30 Eat
1:30 Nap
3:15/30 Eat
4:15/30 Nap
5:15 Eat
7 Eat and Sleep
10pm Dream Feed and then right back to bed. He usually wakes just once a night now to eat-- between 1:30-2:30.

Weldon is such a Cunningham man-- he usually has a grumpy face or a skeptical look (but is actually very happy)! When Weldon does smile he has the sweetest little grin I've ever seen! He also has an adorable coo.

Weldon is quite the growing boy (so much bigger than Eliza at this age)! Just last week when I took him to the doctor he weighed 11 lbs. I took him to the doctor for his 2 month check up yesterday and his current stats are:

Weight: 11lbs 12oz (50%)
Height: 23.25 inches (62%)

It's so much fun having this little man in our lives. I think I'm starting to get the hang of having two children now. I am pretty sure (for me!) adding a second child was harder than going from zero to one. :)

I am also getting more and more comfortable taking them both out to run errands by myself.

We are heading to Charleston, SC in about a week for a vacation with my family! It will be our first trip as a family of 4-- which will include airplane travel. Wish us luck!
