Weldon {6 Months Old}

I love the 6 month mark! Weldon's little personality is really coming out and I just love getting to really know him! He's so easy going and very smiley.

Weldon has been growing and changing so much too! He is sitting up on his own and crawling now! He started crawling at 6.5 months (it took about 2 weeks for it to click). Before he actually started crawling he would get on all 4s and rock back and forth. Then one day he cautiously moved a leg forward and then the other and now he's crawling!

It's so much fun watching Eliza and Weldon interact together. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing them play together! (Oh, and he's also pulling himself up now! Trying to keep up with his big sister.)

Weldon is a big eater these days too. We are doing solid food with him twice a day and I'm pretty sure it's his favorite time of day!

At Weldon's 6 month appointment his stats were:
Height: 26.5 inches (46%)
Weight: 16 lbs 13 oz (32%)

Weldon is now in size 3 diapers and wearing 6-12 month clothes. He seems so big to me (especially compared to Eliza's size at this age) but he's really just about average in both Height & Weight.

This sweet little man is almost sleeping through the night on a regular basis. Woohoo! A more rested momma = a happy momma!

Weldon has been drooling and teething non-stop. I felt a tooth barely coming through last night. Even with the pain of teething Weldon continues to be such a sweet and content baby!

Weldon, we made it to 6 (actually 7 months now) together! The rest is down hill...right? Will and I both agree that we enjoy our babies so much more once we get to the 6 month mark!

Thanks for bringing so much joy to our life sweet man! We love you!!

Gigi & Papa {Visit Lawrence}

At the end of July, Gigi and Papa flew out to Kansas for a little visit! We LOVE having visitors!!

I'm not sure who was more excited-- my parents or Eliza! I love that she's at the age where she understands that they are coming out here to see her.

It was almost Eliza's bedtime by the time my parents arrived in Lawrence but she stayed up to greet them!

We went to brunch one morning with my parents and the kiddos kept them
occupied while Will and I enjoyed our meal child-free. :)

Gigi with both of her grand babies!

My parents had a blast taking Eliza to the pool.

And the park.

Gigi teaching Eliza about her shadow.
She loves her shadow now!

Gigi loving on bubba!

Papa with his little buddy sporting their shades.

And I should also mention that my parents kept both babies by themselves for 24 hours while Will & I slipped away for a night! It was the first time for us  both to be away from the babies for an overnight. It was a wonderful time of R&R for us!

Thank you Gigi and Papa for coming out to Kansas! We love having you!!

Life According to my iPhone

Eliza's first haircut! She was a wonderful little client. We did this when she was about 22 months.

Morning snuggles with my babies (happens daily)! I'm a lucky momma.

Eliza modeling on a bike at the bike shop downtown. She loves bikes like her Papa!

First trip to the new library in downtown Lawrence.

Already onto our second double stroller. Sold the City Mini in exchange for the BOB. :)

A typical evening with Eliza. Princess high heels with a diaper on.

Date night with Will at the Auburn-KState

Pool time with the kiddos at the indoor aquatic center. Eliza is becoming quite the little water bug!

Eliza working at mommas desk and wearing my running watch. :)

KU Homecoming was last weekend so the family wore their jayhawks!

And I took the kids to the homecoming parade on Friday! Eliza loved the band music.

Eliza {Hilltop Child Development Center}

Mid-August Eliza started at a new daycare! She had previously been at an in-home daycare (that we really liked) but the lady was retiring at the end of August. So, onto new adventures!

Eliza now attends Hilltop. It is the child development center associated with KU. It's a great facility located right on campus.

The preschool hallway at Hilltop. (Eliza's room, The Bumblebees, is the first door on the left)

Eliza's first day of school:

We thought Eliza might want to share the spotlight with her little brother. Not so much. :)

Testing out the nap mat that Gigi gave her.

Will takes Eliza to school most days and they are just the cutest together!

She asks to hold his hand every morning on the ride to school.

Eliza in her classroom on the first day of school!

She is doing so well at Hilltop and gets excited every morning when we tell her that she gets to go to school. :)

Trip to Birmingham {in July}

Let's go back a few months to a trip I took with the babies to Birmingham.

This was my first time to fly with both babies alone and it went remarkably well. But let me just say it's definitely not for the faint of heart. ;) (The trip back was a little more challenging!)

Eliza did a fair share of snacking and Weldon slept and smiled. :)

Granddaddy "moo" (as Eliza calls him) picked us up at the airport! We were all so happy to see him!

Eliza was greeted with so much love (and many treats) when we arrived! First thing was playtime in the kitchen sink with an ice cream bar! She was pleased!

Meanwhile, Weldon received lots of love from his Grandaddy!

Nana and Uncle Mark came over to meet Weldon and play with Eliza.

Eliza had her first experience with play dough and it was a hit!

Aunt Abby came over many days to play with Eliza and Weldon!

Carrie and Caroline drove up from Tuscaloosa one morning for a play date. Eliza and Caroline were hilarious together!

We loved seeing y'all and wish we could visit more often!

I also got to meet Jamie's sweet baby boy, Jude, while we were in town! He was only a couple of days old and oh so precious!!

She also came over to the Cunningham's to see Eliza and meet Weldon.

Grandaddy and Weldon spent a great deal of quantity time together. :)

Weldon loves his thumb!

Eliza was such a happy little girl all week!

Grandadday "moo" giving Eliza a cow. :)

Papa even made a special trip down to Birmingham for the weekend because we were "so close." :)

It was a really fun week for everyone! We are eagerly anticipating our upcoming visits to Kansas from Mimi and Grandaddy!!
